Uncle Bob represents at Schock 35 Midwinters

Uncle Bob traveled to Long Beach for the Schock 35 Midwinters.  Four local Long beach boats, plus us and a boat from Oceanside.  Racing outside the breakwater, winds from about 16 – 24 with some nice/nasty chop.  Uncle Bob showed good speed, leading everyone but Long Beach local Code Blue in the first two races.  Third race was very close, with Uncle bob taking the win on the last leg, being the only boat on that leg with a spinnaker up.  Two boats had to retire with damage.  On Sunday, only two boats came out in the class, not including Code Blue.  The RC, after anchoring and looking at the conditions, decide to abandon racing for the day, so the results from Saturday stood, with Uncle Bob second.  Sunday night had winds well into the 30’s, so Uncle Bob spent an extra day at Cabrillo Beach YC and came home Monday night, making it a five-day trip for three races.
