Santa Barbara Yacht Club is continuously looking for the next generation of members to steward the Club through its second century while preserving Club history and tradition dating back to 1872.

Membership consideration is given to individuals who have a demonstrated interest in participating in and promoting the development of yachting in all its aspects, including, without limitation, cruising, racing, and angling.

Boat ownership is not a requirement for membership. In fact, only 60% of our members own boats.

Candidates must be proposed by one current member and sponsored by two current members, all in good standing. Introductions for qualified candidates who don’t happen to know any members can be arranged for you.

Junior membership with reduced fees is available to qualified candidates under age 35.
