2010 Charity Regatta Schedule of Activities Registration, Signups, Raffle purchases and Welcome Attendees will be encouraged to buy raffle tickets for the myriad of prizes, Racers will directed to the regatta desk to sign up for the race (if they have not done so online), and Skipper Bags will be distributed to Skippers. Each Skipper bag will contain a gold Charity Regatta cap, cap lights, and a Mount Gay Rum Regatta Cap. The Bag will be made of carbon Kevlar fiber by Ullman. Inside the bag will also be beer, DVD from TEVA, a key chain, a beer opener, a Regatta T Shirt, and race instructions. There will be other goodies as well. Champagne Party, Spectator Boat, Beach Party package $75.00 Beginning at 12:30 on the upper deck will be a champagne party for spectator boat participants and notable invitees. Champagne and cheese trays will be served. Charles will narrate the boat parade that starts at 1:00, describing the boats as they pass by. The parade will be led by the Fireboat followed by the Maritime Museum boat the Ranger. The boats will represent corporate sponsors with banners on the flybridges, then other boats owned by members. The parade will be one circle then return to the docks for embarkation by the boat spectators. Charles will also draw attention to the flag project on the breakwater and describe how it happened. The Race: (no charge for members) The race will feature 2 starts – first gun will be at 2:40 for the PHRF fleet, followed by the CHRF Fleet. Races will end by appx. 3:30 depending on wind conditions. Racers must be sure to check the Sailing Instructions for more details. The Beach Party: ($20 if purchased by itself) The beach party will be buffet style on the beach at the club. Music will be provided by a disc jockey. Food will be buffet style including BBQ hamburgers, chicken, salmon and a variety of side dishes. Jack is having a Palapa built for the party and other beach party items will be featured. A no host bar will be in place for the party. Guests will include donors of $250 or more, Luminaries, Spectator boat operators and participants and of course anyone purchasing a single entry ticket.
