Santa Barbara Yacht Club

Spectator Boats We are going to have a lot of people visiting our club on the 13th of September and with your generous participation, we will show our fellow Santa Barbarians what Santa Barbara looks like from the water. The participation of your Yacht of Love will make such a difference for so many people. The yacht club will provide you with cheese platters and certain beverages. Please email Anna Friederich at if you are interested in
participating. You can also let her know if you have any special requirements for spectators. On the day of the event, we would like you or a representative to come to the sign in desk on the front lawn of the club at 11 am. At that time you may receive additional instructions. Your passengers will be assigned that day and we can provide a Youth Foundation representative to escort your passengers to your vessel. To spice things up a bit this year, we have come up with an added benefit for the people who get their boats on the water. We obviously couldn’t have a regatta without people like you. We have established an exclusive raffle for boat entries ONLY! We have been given a spectacular 7 night stay at the Villa Oceana in Costa Rica to use as a special fundraising reward for people who take their boats out to support the event. The villa is absolutely amazing with enough rooms and a separate guest house to accommodate up to 12 people very comfortably. It has a private pool with spectacular views of the ocean. The Gordons, Nourys, Bannicks and the Papas were there in November and could have easily brought along more people. This may be a great “chip in” for the crew….. Although airfare is not included, this is a very, very cool opportunity. Any boat entry contributing $1,000 or more as their “optional” boat entry donation will receive 1 FREE raffle ticket. Additional tickets can then be purchased for $100. You can buy as many as you wish after your $1,000 donation. Remember, only boat entries (sailboat race, predicted log competition or spectator boat) are eligible to participate and only those contributing $1,000 or more have a chance to win!
