Hey Cruisers,

We’ve just completed our last cruise of this “Sweet Escape” season.  The Fall Cruise was a perfect end to another great year.  The large turnout of boats was surprising. The crossings to and from Pelican Harbor were smooth. Thanks to our Captains, Ken Clements and Elsbeth Kleen, who gave us an Oktoberfest feast that was wundervoll.

This was our second time as Fleet Captains, which meant it was even more fun and easier than the first. We were pleased to include several “new-to-cruising” boats, new members, and racers in our Fleet this year.

Many thanks to Dave McEachen for his incredible skills with the Yacht Club website, and Rebecca for the Scuttlebutt layout.  They are both wonderful to work with. We hope you use both the site and the Scuttlebutt to keep up with what’s happening at the club.     

All of our Cruise Captains did a stellar job.  Thanks to everyone who skippered these events. We couldn’t have done this job without you.  The Cruise Captains were: Ambrects, Amerys, Bonecks, Byerses, Chrismans, Clements, Kleen, Darrows, Duncans, Erdman, Lepper, Friederichs, Fergusons, Hanses, Hollands, Gordons, Gordons, Nourys, Paynes, Watsons, Watsons and Webbs.

Our final event for this season is our End-of-Season Sweet Escape
Potluck, Tuesday, November 17th @ 6 PM.  Come share stories,
pictures,  and what’s left of the provisions. See you there!
