SBYC Racers Do Well Out of Town

Results for 2010:

Bernie Girod and crew went to chicago on Rock n Roll for the J 105 North Americans Sep 13-19.  They finished 9th there.

Taxi Dancer (Tom Parker), Perfect (Laura Schlessinger), and Rush Street sailed in the SB Channel Challenge/Ventura Cup Sept 18-19.

Prevail takes 1st in Spinnaker A for the Island Series (Hardway Race, Milt Ingram Race, and Tri-Point Race) for 2010, with Bebe in 2nd.
Perfect is 5th in Spinnaker B, and would have done better, but she sailed Warrior in the Hardway, so Perfect was scored DNC for that event.

Larry Leveille's Rush Street in the J 29 class
Results were mixed for all three, although Rush Street did win a race in their fleet (3rd in series).

Skian Dhu competed in the Cal Race Week at Marina Del Rey in the Farr 40 class on June 5-6. Video.

3 Big Dogs Takes J24 North American Title on Final Day - May 23, 2010
Pat Toole and his crew won the J24 North American Title in Seattle (Puget Sound). The top three finishers in the regatta win spots in the 2011 World Championships in Buenos Aires. Photo 1. Photo 2.

Boats participating: Warrior and Prevail - Dr. Laura was 1st in class and 1st overall for the race.

Newport Beach to Ensenada Race, Apr 23-24, 2010 - Read the Press Release and See Results

Taxi Dancer, winner of first in Maxi class and first overall for all monohulls.  Trophies included a $7000 Lamborghini watch for the overall win.
Rush Street, 6th of 23 in Class D, smallest boat in the class by at least four feet.
        (Two SBSC boats - Lono and Gauntlet - also sailed the race)

Loren Colahan's Louge Act, placed 3rd in Melges 24.
          (Notably, Melges 24 class was won by multi-world champion Vince Brun, Kent and Loren beat everyone else)
